MTS Instructor Recertification workshops are designed for incumbent certified instructors. Workshop activities are designed to help even the most experienced instructors promote student engagement in each of the classes they facilitate. Topics, activities, and objectives are tailored based on the client’s instructional needs and priorities.
Objectives:
- Revisit methods to promote involvement and engagement within the classroom
- Practice acquired techniques to enhance overall communication skills
- Demonstrate excitement and energy in their training
- List activities that can promote student application of learned knowledge and skills
- Define and practice techniques for capturing and holding audience attention
- Develop a plan for facilitating difficult discussions and work with challenging audiences
- Use vocal range, tone, and body language to enhance presentations
- Create question and answer periods that promote involvement
